Transfer Contacts using iCloud
You can transfer your contacts from old iPhone to a new iPhone using iCloud. You need to first create a backup of your old iPhone contacts in iCloud and then use it to transfer them into new iPhone. Connect to a wireless network before starting.
- From your old iPhone go to Setting>iCloud>Backup. Turn on iCloud Backup and tap on Backup Now. It will take time depending upon the data and your network connection.
Once the backup from old iPhone is completed you can start transferring contacts from iCloud to new iPhone.
- Go to Settings>iCloud>Contacts and turn it On. When prompted Choose Merge. Now the contacts on your iCloud account will be synchronized with your new phone.
Transfer Contacts using iTunes
To transfer contacts using iTunes make sure you create a backup of contacts on your old iPhone. Now you need to follow the following steps.
- Connect your old iPhone to the computer. Open iTunes>Go to Device> Choose Summary>Under Backup Section Choose This Computer. Select Backup Now. It creates a backup of contacts in your computer. Then disconnect the iPhone from computer.
- Now connect your new iPhone to the computer. Go to iTunes>Click Device> Summary>Click Restore Backup. Now you can select the Backup you just created and Click Restore.
