Start menu Windows 10 now offers a complete new look with customization feature. Today we will discuss the steps with which one can easily customize Windows 10 start menu. There are multiple ways which let the users to give a perfect look of his/her choice.
Resize Start Menu in Windows 10
To change the size of Windows 10 start menu, you can simply use the click of your mouse or pointing device. At maximum, you can add three columns in the Start menu by dragging it to the right side. While on the other side the upper portion of the menu can also be used to adjust the height of the menu.
Using Windows 10 Settings
One can also have control over the number of specific tiles to show up in the menu. For that, go to settings > personalization > Start and now enable ‘Show more Tiles’ option.
This setting will add another extra column into the menu, now you have total four-columns if the menu is stretched to full length.
Pin & Unpin Tiles
There is a quick option to add or remove any tile, just you have to right click on the tile. A menu appears, from where you can then further select the option to unpin any tile from Start menu.
On the other hand, if you want an app to show in the start menu then simply right click on app name. From the drop down menu select the option ‘Pin to Start.’
Change Tiles Size
Another important but little feature adds some more value to Window’s menu customization. To change the size of any tile right click over it and then select the resize option. Now from the available options, you can select the size of your own choice.
Manage Live Tiles Updates
If you don’t like flashing tiles to come up on the start menu, then there is an option where you can simply turn them off. One just have to right click over it and then select option ‘Turn live tile off.’
Changing Color of Start Menu
One can simply change the color of the start menu in Windows 10 from settings sections. For doing that move to Settings > Personalization > Colors. From this section now select color of your choice. At next scroll the page down and enable the option saying ‘Show color on Start, taskbar and action center.’
Enable Recent & Most Used Apps
Window 10 gives the user an option where they can disable OR enable the Recent & Most Used apps. For that, one have to follow these steps Settings > Personalization > Start. From the new screen, you can find the options saying ‘Show Recent Apps’ and ‘Show most Used Apps’ to enable or disable it.
Select the Folders To Show in Start Menu
Windows 10 also allows the users to add customized folders of your own choice in the start menu. One can simply use these steps to implement this option on to your Start menu. Use these steps Settings > Personalization > Start from this new screen you can here now scroll down. Here at the end of page, you will see the option ‘Choose which folder appear on Start.’ Here you will see the number of options available, select the folders which you like to see in the list below.
Make the Start Menu of FullScreen
This is an awesome option which let the users to make the start menu visible on the full screen. This will gives you an experience for Windows 8, for that use these steps. Go to Settings > Personalization > Start and now turn on the option saying ‘Use Start Full Screen’ option.
Remove Suggested Apps
In the start menu, one can see the some suggested apps in the list. If you don’t like such an item to see in the menu, then you can use these steps to remove them. Move to Settings > Personalization > Start and from the list disable option saying ‘Occasionally show Suggestion in Start’
